FWD students meet His Excellency President El-Sisi to celebrate their freelancing impact

Egypt FWD was launched on May 19, 2020, under the sponsorship of ITIDA & MCIT. This program is a first-of-a-kind nation-wide upskilling program dedicated to supporting Egyptians better their livelihood through online work in the digital freelancing world.

Last week, 4 months after the launch of this program, five of the top graduates from Egypt FWD were celebrated by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for their boundless success in the digital freelancing marketplaces during his visit to Borg El Arab, Alexandria to celebrate the launch of several educational initiatives. These students were able to showcase their digital footprint and success only within a few weeks from completing the program!

The FWD graduates who participated in the event represent a large community of Egyptians who joined the online initiative from different governorates and education levels. The graduates, through the program, are able to apply and land on jobs in the global online marketplaces, with the flexibility of working from their own homes.

§One of the students, Eslam, shared his inspiring story of how he was able to earn $24,000 on UpWork by completing several online jobs from the comfort of his own home, further paving the path to his own success with the help of Egypt FWD.

The stage was set for these students to share their inspiring stories and represent thousands of students who are following their same path in the digital economy.
